Cauvery College of Nursing was established in 2003 & has become one of the premier Nursing College in Karnataka. Post graduate courses were started in the year 2008, with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences affiliation for all the five M.Sc. Nursing specialty subjects and with increasing demand, P.B.B.Sc course was started in the year 2008. With Decade of Experience in Nursing Education & has trained more than 2500 students, who have become an asset in health care industry all over India & abroad.
In the year 2019. Cauvery College of Nursing signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Health Service, United Kingdom for training and placement of Nursing Graduates, which is a remarkable mile stone with a huge impact on the future of our students.

Our Courses
Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) is a diploma program in the field of nursing that typically spans over a duration of three years. This course is aimed at providing students with comprehensive knowledge and skills required to become proficient nurses and midwives.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for GNM courses may vary, but generally, candidates must have completed the 12th grade in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. Some institutes might have specific minimum marks required in the qualifying examination.
Course Curriculum: GNM programs cover various aspects of nursing, including fundamental nursing concepts, community health nursing, maternal healthcare, pediatric nursing, mental health nursing, and practical training in clinical settings. The curriculum also includes midwifery, which focuses on caring for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care.
B.Sc. Nursing
BSc Nursing is a four-year undergraduate program that can be pursued after completing the 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. The eligibility criteria usually include a minimum aggregate score in the qualifying examination, often around 50% or as specified by the institution.
Admission Requirements: Candidates typically need to be at least 17 years old and not more than a specified age, usually around 25 years at the time of admission. Some universities might have variations in age criteria, so it’s essential to check specific requirements.
Course Structure: The BSc Nursing program encompasses theoretical and practical training in nursing sciences, medical and surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, mental health nursing, community health nursing, and more. It involves clinical rotations, internships, and practical experiences in hospitals or healthcare settings to provide hands-on learning.
M.Sc. Nursing
The Master of Science in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) is an advanced postgraduate program designed to offer specialized knowledge and skills in nursing practice, research, education, and administration. Here’s an overview:
Eligibility: Typically, candidates applying for M.Sc. Nursing should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Some universities may require a certain minimum percentage in the undergraduate program, and work experience in nursing might also be preferred.
Specializations: M.Sc. Nursing programs often offer various specializations such as:
- Medical-Surgical Nursing: Focused on advanced patient care in surgical or medical settings.
- Pediatric Nursing: Specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents.
- Psychiatric Nursing: Dealing with mental health issues and providing psychiatric care.
